Rio Dell CERT Team

The Rio Dell Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a dedicated group of local volunteers trained to assist their neighbors and support first responders during emergencies. In times when professional services may be delayed or overwhelmed, CERT members play a critical role in helping keep our community safe.

CERT volunteers receive hands-on training in essential disaster response skills, including fire safety, light search and rescue, disaster medical operations, and team organization. They also learn how to prepare themselves, their families, and their neighborhoods for a wide range of emergencies—from earthquakes and floods to wildfires and other local hazards.

When an emergency occurs, CERT members can assist by checking on neighbors, providing basic first aid, helping with evacuations, and gathering important information for emergency services. Their presence strengthens the community’s resilience and helps ensure a faster, more organized response when it matters most.
